We all know that eating fresh foods is an important part of our daily diet, but do we really know the benefits of choosing locally grown and locally owned when purchasing our food? Supporting locally grown food is not only good for the environment and the economy, it’s also great for your health.
Drive: Accelerating Local Women Business Owners is a networking group which is an arm of Triad Local First and whose vision is “Embracing our strengths and diversity in community to elevate women entrepreneurs, and the next generation of female business owners. Igniting each other’s power, passion, and potential.” The mission of Drive is “Current and future women business leaders connecting and building community through networking, mentorship, and education.”
We are working directly with chefs, farmers and food vendors from neighboring communities to select and visit independently owned restaurants that feature products from local farms, dairies, and artisans.
